Register Online!

Not all of our programs allow online registration.  If you would like to register for a program that does not allow online registration, please call 517-483-4224 and we would be happy to help you.  You can pay with a credit card online (we use PayPal to maintain security) or you can choose to pay manually via mail or in person (you will be emailed an invoice).  We can also accept credit card payments right over the phone. If you choose to pay manually, we require payment at least one week before the event to guarantee your spot!

    Join our Naturalists for a lantern-guided walk through the snow. Snowshoes are the perfect way to travel through Fenner’s snow-laden trails while learning about winter ecology.



    No experience is necessary; Maximum of 10 participants, so call to reserve your spot. If there is not enough snow, we will still head out for a winter night hike.

    Work with Sharon and Juanita of the Crossroad Weavers Guild to learn a new skill while staying away from the chill. This 4-hour class is suitable for complete beginners. 



    Your experienced teachers will walk you through the steps of making a basket from start to finish. Each class will feature a different beginner basket design. We recommend that you bring scissors, pencil, ruler, and a hand towel to class.

    Basket dimensions: 13" tall, 16" wide (fits a Meijer bag)

    Miss Cardinal's LunchYou can watch birds at Fenner, at your neighborhood park, or in your own backyard! On Fridays following Project Feeder Watch, we’ll have a make and take project to inspire young naturalists to count the birds everywhere they go! 


    Participants can choose to decorate a pair of binoculars or make a small bird feeder to hang at home.

    Allow your imagination soar to new heights in this expedition into the realm of birds, bats, and bugs! Find out how these animals fly, and how they have fascinated and inspired engineers and scientists to take to the skies!

    Sometimes nature is downright disgusting! Slime, sludge, and sticky situations abound in this camp, where we will spend the day exploring and expelling myths about creepy critters and gross natural phenomena that are often misunderstood.
