Description

“Introduction to Fenner’s Lending Library”

Join Sam Ansaldi and Liz Roxberry as you dive deep into student directed learning. You will spend time with other educators as you define and develop strategies of using this pedagogy as a means of supporting active learning in your classroom. Participants will end their day by exploring  some of the more than fifteen hundred provocations, invitations, and resources  that  Fenner has assembled as part of the PNC Resource and Lending Library available to you as early learning professionals in the Capital region. This seminar is designed for those interested in enrolling in the lending library and will offer insight on navigating the online circulation portal.

Fenner Nature Center

Fenner Nature Center, operated by Fenner Conservancy, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization and managing body for Fenner Nature Center, connects people to nature in the heart of Lansing through conservation, education, and stewardship. Fenner encompasses 134 acres of publicly accessible green space. The property includes over four miles of trails, rolling glacial eskers, towering maple groves and so much more. Inside the Visitor Center, you will find collections of live native reptiles and amphibians; a viewing area to watch songbirds, deer and wild turkeys; and opportunities to explore newly renovated hands-on exhibits, designed with YOU in mind.
