Visit a vernal pool, a temporary wetland that supports a variety of unique animal species including fairy shrimp and wood frogs. Learn what makes these special habitats so important, and what is being done to protect them. As a group, perform a biological survey by identifying aquatic species to determine the quality of some of our wetlands.

Hike details: Less than one mile of hiking. Paved and dirt trails, with some moderate inclines.
