Join our naturalists for a lantern-guided walk through the snow. Snowshoes are the perfect way to travel through Fenner’s snow-laden trails while learning about winter ecology. No experience is necessary; program has a maximum of 10 participants, so call early to reserve your spot! If there is not enough snow to snowshoe, we will still head out on the trail for a winter night hike.

Symbols and Superstitions: Annual Mount Hope Cemetery Stroll

Join us on a guided tour from Fenner Nature Center to Mount Hope Cemetery to investigate the signs and symbols of nature that surround life and death. We will delve into the folklore of ravens, owls, and other animals that can be found on the tombstones on our walk before heading back to the park for a campfire and marshmallow roast.

Affiliate Program: Spring Migration Walk

Capital Area Audubon will once again lead a morning bird walk at Fenner Arboretum during spring migration.

May dates are May 5, 12, 19, 26

Starting time for May walks is 8:00 a.m.

Saturday May 5th will host a special Family & Children’s Walk starting at 9:00am. This group will be paced specifically for children and families.

Meet in the parking lot near the Nature Center building, and don’t forget your bins (binoculars). These walks are free and open to the public.
