Spring Break Adventures: Secret Life of Seeds

How does a tall tree grow from a tiny seed? Seeds are tiny, secretive balls of energy. Many campers understand that plants grow from seeds, but how it happens is a mystery. Today, campers will dissect plants and seeds to find out what is inside, and explore how animals can help plants form seeds through the process of pollination.

Spring Break Adventures: Investigating Insects

Don’t step on that ant! Insects are often overlooked due to their tiny nature, but there are many, many more insects on Earth than there are people. Today, campers will look up close at the insects at Fenner to learn where they go and how they live.

Spring Break Adventures: World Beneath Our Feet

Campers will dig down below the surface today to find out what lies beneath. Using soil corers and trowels, campers will get down in the dirt, then examine the invertebrate life that lives in the soil, such as worms and roly polys, which help provide nutrients for plants to grow.

Spring Break Adventures: Wonders of Water

April 1, 2019 @ 8:30 am 4:30 pm

Water is the source of many mysteries in nature. Why is the sky blue? How do clouds form? How does rain fall from clouds? Today, campers will get up close and personal with the water cycle to find out the answers to these questions and more.
