Winter Seed Sowing Workshop

Join us on Zoom for our first program in our Digital Naturalist Series, the Winter Seed Sowing Workshop. In this virtual program, you will learn how to plant seeds for your garden now, so they’re ready for spring planting, how to plan your spring garden beds and how to incorporate native species in your garden.

With your registration, you will receive the Zoom link to the program and a kit including all the supplies needed to follow along as you make a mini greenhouse out of recycled materials and plant some seeds.

This program is recommended for ages 8 and up.

Winter can be challenging, especially if you’re a tiny seed! Learn all about the amazing adaptations of Michigan native plant seeds and how winter actually helps them survive and thrive. Then, get your hands dirty creating a mini-greenhouse out of recycled materials and planting some seeds to take home with you.

All supplies are included in the ticket price. Open to participants 8 and up with an adult.
