Fenner Conservancy is Seeking Candidates for our Board of Directors

At Fenner Conservancy, we envision a Board composed of a demographic mix of people, taking into account national origins, languages, ethnicities, races, skin colors, cultures, generations, religions, spiritualities, socioeconomic backgrounds, gender identities and sexual orientations as well as skills, abilities, customs, values, behavioral styles and beliefs. 

A position on the Fenner Conservancy Board of Directors entails approximately three to seven hours of time and effort per month. Board members serve three-year terms with the opportunity to extend their service for an additional two terms. This is an unpaid volunteer position.

You don’t need to be a nature nerd or have previous Board experience to apply, dedication to your community and the ability to share some of your time and efforts with Fenner Conservancy are what is needed. Candidates must be 18 or older.

The Board and the community will be best served by a mix of folks that possess a multitude of talents and passions. The following are skills currently relevant to Board membership, including but are not limited to:

  • Events
  • Community organizing and relations
  • Education/teaching/mentorship
  • Diversity, equity and inclusion
  • Environment
  • Arts and culture
  • Infrastructure
  • Public policy
  • Parks

  • Finance
  • Stewardship

We are accepting applications for the 2022 Board of Directors through October 15, 2021. If you miss the deadline, please still submit an application. We consider applications on a rolling basis.
