Apple Butter Festival Volunteers

Fenner Nature Center’s Apple Butter Festival is back October 21-22, 2023! Shifts will run in 2.5hr shifts with a 30 minute break for volunteers with multiple shifts.

Volunteer Descriptions

Education: Education stations are an opportunity to work with the public to teach them different heritage activities throughout the festival grounds.

Parking: Be the first face visitors see when they arrive at the festival. We welcome each car at the gate wishing them a great time at the festival and thanking them for coming. This is also an opportunity for visitors to donate $5 for parking.

Apple Butter Sales: This is what everyone came for! Apple butter sales is a fast paced station where you will constantly have a line and you will bring a smile to everyone’s face.

Set up/Tear down: Set up and tear down of the festival are important parts to complete. A significant portion of the set up takes place the Friday before with a small portion taking place during shift 1. Tear down takes place starting at 5:15 as the festival begins to clear out. Tear down takes approximately 45 minutes-1 hour.

Floating: Not sure what you would like to do? Floaters will help where they are needed, be runners for other stations, and visit with guests making a memorable experience.

To sign up to be a volunteer for the festival please fill out the form below. If you are signing your group up to volunteer please fill out one form as a group with the name, phone number, and email being your point of contact’s information. This will help me place your members at the same station or in the same area during your shift.

Once you have filled out the form our Volunteer Coordinator will reach out with further details.
