This is a free program. This program has a limited number of participants, so please RSVP if you plan to attend!
Location: Fenner Nature Center
Date and Time: Sunday, October 4th, 2026 | 12:00pm-2:00pm
This program is FREE. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Most of the program will take place outdoors, so please dress for the weather. This program will involve hiking off trail over rugged terrain. Boots and long sleeves are recommended.
Are you looking for volunteer experience in the natural sciences? Are you interested in wetland ecology? Join us for our first community science program where we will learn about freshwater ecology, water quality monitoring, and local conservation initiatives! We will perform water tests, survey animal species, and identify plants, all with the goal of solving one of Fenner Nature Center’s greatest mysteries: where are all of the salamanders?
