This program is recommended for adults and youths 12+. Most of the program will take place outdoors, so please dress for the weather.
Learn all about monarchs! In this naturalist-led program, participants will go on a hike to look for host plants, monarch eggs, caterpillars, and maybe even butterflies. Learn about the processes of parasite testing and tagging monarchs before their migration. Practice identifying different species of milkweed, and learn how to cultivate it at your own home. Participants will receive a milkweed identification booklet and a packet of seeds to take home.
