Dazzling Dragonflies

Join local dragonfly enthusiast David Marvin for a fun and educational look at some of Michigan’s most fascinating insects. During this indoor and outdoor program, participants will learn about dragonfly anatomy, life cycles, and how to identify some of the most common species found in mid-Michigan

David will also share highlights from his years of field observations, including unique finds and fun facts about dragonfly dimorphism.

After the indoor portion, we’ll head outside to explore the prairie and search for dragonflies in the wild – maybe even net a few for a closer look! This program is family-friendly and perfect for anyone curious about the buzzing, darting life of Fenner’s summer skies.
